Welcome to the official web site for
the Hawaii Association of USA Track & Field.
USA Track & Field is the National
Governing Body for track and field, long-distance running
and race walking in the United States, and encompasses
the world's oldest organized sports, the most-watched
events of Olympic broadcasts, the #1 high school and
junior high school participatory sport and more than
30 million adult runners in the United States.
The Hawaii Association is recognized
by USA Track & Field as the local organization to
administer the sport of Athletics in the State of Hawaii.
Within this geographic area, the Hawaii Association
acts as a service organization in creating, conducting
and overseeing programs to provide opportunities for
athletes of all ages to participate in the five disciplines
of our sport.
Our members include male and female
athletes of all ages, the coaches and clubs that support
and develop them at every level, hundreds of highly
trained, certified officials, and the local youth groups,
clubs, colleges, universities, and other organizations
interested in supporting track & field.
As a local governing body, the Hawaii
Association of USA Track & Field protects the interests
and eligibility of our member-athletes and establishes
and maintains the Rules of Competition. At both the
local and national level, USA Track & Field is a
volunteer-based organization.
